Back to basics

It has been awhile sine I stretched a canvas. Brought me back to the good old days. There was a time when all I did was stretch my own canvas. It really gives you that start to finish craftsman feeling.

Quissett Harbor

8x10 Oil on masonite
Quissett is one of the historic sailing harbors in the US because it is so deep. It is a bustle of yachts and small sailing crafts. This sail went by and stood out in the harbor when the sun lit it up. It stands out on the wall too.

Castle Wall

8x8 Oil on masonite
This is another Plein Air painting. I sat in the woods and loved seeing all my neighbors. But the most important thing was I felt really close to my Grandmother who grew up and lived her life here.

Bird Watching

This was a great experience. Although it was expensive. The foundry I used made statues for the Olympics and other landmarks. It is a sculpture of my Labrador Indy. It also was awarded 2nd place at the Plymouth Art Show.
